Attractive collection of ten different cards from the legendary T206 White Border set, each graded and encapsulated by SGC, highlighted by Hal Chase, Johnny Evers, and Vic Willis. Six different advertising backs are represented. This collection consists of the following: Chase/throwing, dark cap (EX+ 70, Polar Bear), Dorner (VG 40, Cycle 350), Evers/with bat, Chicago on shirt (HOF, EX 60, Sweet Caporal), Herzog/New York (EX 60, Sweet Caporal), McGann (EX 60, Polar Bear), H. McIntyre/Brooklyn & Chicago (EX+ 70, Old Mill), McQuillan/with bat (VG+ 45, Old Mill), Spencer (Authentic, Brown Hindu), J. Tannehill (GOOD 30, Cycle 350), and Willis/St. Louis, with bat (HOF, VG/EX 50, Piedmont). All cards present with bold colors and light wear to the corners. This is a very pleasing collection of cards from the T206 White Border series, the most popular and widely collected set of the 1910 era. The SMR value for just nine of the cards (excluding the one card graded Authentic and factoring in the three half-grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $1,474, with no premium assigned for the scarcer advertising backs. Total: 10 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
