Graded EX/MT+ 82 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Beautiful high-grade example of Billy Purtell (Chicago White Sox) from the classic T206 set featuring a very rare Drum advertising back. This is the highest-graded T206 Drum back example (of any player) ever graded by SGC (PSA has graded only one NM 7 with none higher). Bright and crisp with brilliant colors, light even touches of wear to the four corners, and centering slightly to the left. The Drum advertisement on the reverse is perfectly clean. This ideal sample of this incredible back rarity, which is especially significant for its status as the highest-graded example by SGC of this front and back combination, would make an outstanding addition to even the most advanced collection. According to T206Resource.com, Drum backs are the fifth most difficult to find advertising reverse within the T206 set (out of thirty-nine). Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
