Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of only nine examples graded at this level with none higher! Exceptional example of Rube Oldring and Hall of Famer Chief Bender from the classic T201 Mecca Double Folders set. T201 Double Folders are one of the most condition-sensitive of all tobacco-card issues. The thin stock on which they are printed makes them especially susceptible to soft corners as well as to very slight wrinkles, creases, and edge wear. These cards were designed to be played with, folded up and down, so it is not surprising that normal handling would result in few truly high-grade examples surviving. This is a remarkably high grade example of one of the key cards in the set. Clean and crisp, with four strong corners and outstanding centering. Flawless reverse. Out of 8,839 T201 cards evaluated by PSA to date, approximately three percent have graded NM-MT 8 or higher! This is a superb example worthy of any world-class T201 set or Hall of Fame collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
