Collection of sixteen different (plus two duplicates) 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders, highlighted by several Hall of Famers, including Frank Chance, Johnny Evers, and Walter Johnson. Three cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. This collection consists of the following: Baker/Downie (HOF, Vg-Ex), Barrett/McGlynn (EX-MT+ 6.5), Bender/Oldring (HOF, Ex), Donovan/Stroud (Vg+), Evers/Chance (HOF, Vg+), Hartzell/Blair (Ex-Mt), Hickman/Hinchman (Vg-Ex), Johnson/Street (HOF, PSA EX 5), Lake/Wallace (HOF, Vg-Ex), Leifield/Simon (Vg-Ex), two Lobert/Moore (Vg+ and slight trim, otherwise Ex-Mt), McBride/Elberfeld (EX-MT 6), Miller/Herzog (Vg+), Rucker/Daubert (Ex), two Seymour/Dygert (Vg-Ex+ and Vg+), and Turner/Stovall (Vg-Ex+). These cards are naturally prone to wear and rarely found in extremely high grade. As is usually the case with T201s, several cards have been downgraded due to mostly very minor creases and corner wear natural to the issue, and many have a far superior appearance than suggested by their technically accurate grades. T201s are very attractive, substantial, and represent one of the best values of all 1910-era baseball tobacco issues. Total: 18 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
