Absolutely stunning N173 Goodwin Old Judge cabinet example of Jim Mutrie, Manager of New York (#336-3). All N173 Old Judge cabinets are naturally rare, but this is a particularly noteworthy example as it features a manager. Managers tend to jump out as special and unusual in any collection of Old Judges, in part because of the fancy street clothes (as seen here) in which the subjects are usually pictured. They are naturally a very popular subset of Old Judge collecting. This is a beautiful N173! The image on this card has superb clarity and tremendous detail. Very bright, crisp, and clean, both front and back, presenting as Excellent overall. This is a remarkably striking N173 example, simply stunning in all respects, which would be a highlight in any collection of nineteenth-century cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
