Presented is an extremely attractive partial set of 1910 E104-1 Nadja Caramel Athletics, comprised of eight different of the eighteen cards in the set, all graded by SGC, including Hall of Famers Chief Bender and Eddie Collins. E104-1 Nadja Caramels is among the rarest of all twentieth-century caramel issues. Produced to commemorate the Athletics’ 1910 Championship season, the 18-card set features Philadelphia Athletics exclusively. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. They are nearly identical to D359 Rochester/Williams Baking, and another related set of legendary rarity, T208 Fireside Tobacco. This collection consists of the following: Bender (HOF), E. Collins (HOF), Davis, Hartsel, Krause, Murphy, Oldring, and Thomas. Each card is encapsulated as Authentic by SGC due to a very slight hand-cut, possibly from having long ago been cut from a sheet. Without consideration to their hand-cut nature, all cards present as Excellent to Near Mint, with bold colors, sharp corners, and no creases or wrinkles. Bright and clean reverses. They are among the most attractive E104-1s we have ever seen! All eight cards are the plain portrait variation (each player can also be found with an overprint of a white elephant and the notation “World’s Champions 1910” on front) with blank backs (also issued with Nadja ad). It is very rare to find a sizable collection of these extremely rare and distinctive "E" cards featuring members of the World Champion 1910 Philadelphia Athletics. Total: 8 cards. Reserve $400.
