Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extraordinary high-grade example of Jack Pfiester (Chicago Cubs; misspelled "Pfeister on the card) from the E96 Philadelphia Caramel series. The E96 set, issued by Philadelphia Caramel in 1910, is one of the most popular and colorful of all "E" card issues and is the follow-up to the E95 Philadelphia Caramel issue of the previous year. As suggested by its impressive PSA grade, the offered example is in tremendous condition, especially compared to most other caramel cards, with a crisp, clean image, bold colors, bright white borders, outstanding centering, and four strong corners. The reverse is also spectacularly clean, with a boldly printed red checklist and no signs of caramel staining. Due to the thin stock on which they are printed, E96 Philadelphia Caramel cards are rarely found in such high grade. Only nine examples (of any subject) have ever been graded higher by PSA out of 705 cards evaluated to date! (PSA has never graded an E96 higher than NM.) This is an outstanding high-grade example worthy of any world-class E96 set or type-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
