Graded EX 60 by SGC. One of only two examples graded at this level by SGC with just one higher. Extraordinary high-grade example of Harry Davis (Philadelphia Athletics) from the E96 Philadelphia Caramel series. The E96 set, issued by Philadelphia Caramel in 1910, is one of the most popular and colorful of all "E" card issues and is the follow-up to the E95 Philadelphia Caramel issue of the previous year. As suggested by its impressive SGC grade, the offered example is in tremendous condition, especially compared to most other caramel cards, with a crisp, clean image, bold colors, bright white borders, outstanding centering, and four strong corners. The reverse is also spectacularly clean, with a boldly printed red checklist. Due to the thin stock on which they are printed, E96 Philadelphia Caramel cards are rarely found in such high grade. This is an outstanding high-grade example worthy of any world-class E96 set or type-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
