Limited-edition hand-enhanced giclee on canvas, titled 1965
, signed by both Muhammad Ali and the artist Stephen Holland in gold paint pen. Ali's large and flowing signature (measuring over eleven inches in length) has been penned along the lower left and grades a flawless "10." Holland's signature appears in the lower right. Holland's artwork is a rendition of the famous Neil Leifer photograph of Ali defiantly standing over a fallen Sonny Liston during their second heavyweight title fight in 1965. Like the photo, this piece captures all the drama and emotion of that historic bout and makes for a spectacular display piece. This particular Holland giclee was limited to an edition of only fifty-six and the offered piece is hand-numbered "AVP 34/56" directly below the artist's signature. Also printed in gold paint pen below the limitation number is "December 26, 1971 vs. Jurgen Blin." Ali's victory over Jurgen Blin was the thirty-fourth of his fifty-six lifetime wins, which corresponds precisely to the limitation number. The piece measures 25.75 x 41.25 inches and has been framed to total dimensions of 30 x 45.5 inches. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
