Promotional flyer, picturing both Rocky Marciano and the famous Vanderbilt diamond, signed by Marciano along the base. Marciano has scripted his name in blue ink, with the signature grading "9/10." The flyer, which was issued by famous diamond merchant Jack Werst, pictures Marciano in a fighting pose set against the backdrop of the Vanderbilt diamond, with the caption along the top reading "Two Champions." (Werst purchased the Vanderbilt diamond in 1946.) Werst's three business address's are printed and the flyer identifies Marciano as "Retired and Undefeated Heavyweight Champion - The Only Undefeated Champion in Any Weight in World History." Marciano retired in 1956 and died in 1969, which dates the flyer to sometime during that thirteen-year span. The flyer (8 x 10), which is printed on glossy stock, displays a few light surface wrinkles and is in Excellent condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
