Original 1972 Topps football uncut final production sheet consisting of 132 cards with fully printed reverses, highlighted by two examples of Hall of Famer Roger Staubach's rookie card. The sheet is arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards. The twenty-eight Hall of Famers (fourteen different which appear on the sheet twice) featured on the sheet are Alworth, B. Bell, Biletnikoff, Blanda, Bradshaw, Buchanan, Dawson, J. Greene, Joiner RC, Jurgensen, Lilly, Staubach RC, Tarkenton, and Upshaw RC. Grading of sheets has always posed a problem as we naturally tend to grade a sheet as if it were a "big card" when really a grade does not capture the condition or visual appeal of a sheet (all the more so as sheets tend to be large). That is certainly the case here. Technically, the sheet is in Good condition due to small creases affecting the interior cards, a few edge nicks, and light staining on the left edge as well as a tiny tear on the lower right edge. If framed and hung on a wall, many of these flaws would be mitigated and it would project an outstanding overall Excellent appearance! The sheet measures approximately 28-1/2 x 43 inches. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
