Presented is an exceptionally attractive and high-grade near-complete set of 1957 Topps Football, entirely graded and encapsulated by PSA. This near-complete set is comprised of 150 different cards (out of 155). All but one of the cards is graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, with the lone exception, #140 Zeke Bratkowski (a hard-to-find card in NM-MT 8), graded NM 7. This near-complete set forms the foundation for the sixth-ranked set on the PSA Set Registry, which has a 7.92 overall GPA when the four NM-MT 8 rookie card examples of Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, and Paul Hornung, along with the EX-MT 6 checklist, are included. Each of these five cards is offered individually in this auction and could be combined with those in this lot to complete one of the finest sets ever assembled. This near-complete assemblage of the classic and extremely popular 1957 Topps Football set is highlighted by thirty Hall of Famers. All cards are bright, crisp, and clean. Several cards appear to be particularly strong for the grade and worthy of review, having been graded in the era before half grades. This is a remarkably consistent and extremely attractive near-complete set of this popular 1950s football-card issue that would be a worthy addition to even the most advanced collection. The total SMR value in the assigned grades is $12,018. Total: 150 cards. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000/$10,000+.
