On May 12, 1970, Ernie Banks became the ninth player in baseball history to reach the 500 home-run plateau with his solo home run in the second inning off of Atlanta's Pat Jarvis at Wrigley Field. Offered here is desirable ticket stub from that historic game. The stub (1.25 x 2 inches), for a "Lower Box," displays two small, light creases and a tiny area of adhesive residue on the reverse. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. It should be noted that only 5,264 fans attended this game, which has resulted in the ticket's scarcity today. This is the first example we have ever offered, and we cannot recall having seen more than a few others at auction in the past twenty years. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
