This large banner, which proclaims the Boston Red Sox as 1967 American League Champions, was once proudly displayed at Fenway Park and is accompanied by an additional Fenway Park banner reading "No Game Today." Both were obtained by our consignor from a gentleman who once worked at the ballpark. The red-white-and-blue nylon banner, which measures 103 x 66 inches, features the Red Sox logo in the center. Lettered in blue above it is "Boston Red Sox," and below, "1967 Champions/American League." The banner has a total of seven metal grommets (one in each corner and three across the top border) for mounting. The banner displays moderate wear, including a few tiny stains, and is in Excellent condition overall. The other blue nylon banner (45 x 70 inches) is lettered in white on both sides and reads "No Game Today." Two metal grommets (one in each of the top corners) allow for a vertical mounting. Ex-Mt. Total: 2 nylon banners. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
