Washington Senators road jersey worn by second baseman Bernie Allen in 1969. The grey flannel jersey is lettered "Senators" across the front and features the number "7" on the reverse. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in red on navy tackle twill. A "Wilson 42" tag appears in the collar, while the year, "1969," is chain stitched in navy on the left front tail. A major league "100th Anniversary" patch (worn by all major league clubs in 1969) adorns the left sleeve. The jersey, which is original as issued, with no alterations, displays very light wear. Allen appeared in 122 games with the Senators in 1969, finishing the season with 9 home runs, 45 RBI, and a .247 average. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000.
