Rare tablecloth bearing the likeness of Jackie Robinson. This is the first example of this attractive piece we have ever seen. While we believe this to be a tablecloth (it can definitely be used in that manner on a small end table), it is possible that it may have been originally marketed as something different. Constructed of white, loosely woven, cloth, with fringes on three of the four borders, the piece displays an image of Robinson set against the backdrop of a game in progress. His large facsimile signature appears below his image. The piece (15 x 28.5 inches) displays a few small areas of light, scattered age toning; otherwise it remains in Near Mint condition. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
