Large retail advertising display, issued by Iron City Beer, picturing the 1960 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. The panoramic image captures the club in a classic team pose, with the text along the base reading "Beat 'em Bucs!" The Iron City Beer logo appears in the lower right corner. Each player on the club is identified in print along the base, including Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, and George Sisler (team executive). The display (33 x 17 inches) is printed on heavy cardboard stock and is complete with both cardboard easels on the reverse. A number of tack holes are evident along the brown border areas, as are a few minor abrasions in the central image area and a moderate diagonal crease in the upper left corner. Despite the modest flaws, this is one of the finer examples we have seen (its size and fragile nature make it susceptible to damage) and it remains in Excellent condition overall. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
