Complete run of Dodgers World Series press pins spanning the years 1920 to 1983, including three phantom pins, plus two All-Star Game pins and six additional stadium/souvenir pins. It should be noted that each press pin is missing its original clasp, with the exception of the 1953 World Series press pin (brooch version; pin intact) and the 1956 World Series press pin (tie clasp). Without reference to the missing clasp, each pin is in Near Mint condition unless otherwise noted. The highlight of the group is the scarce 1920 World Series press pin. The bright red enamel border reads "World Series" and "1920" in gold lettering. The center displays a convex baseball design in gold that reads "Brooklyn." The red enamel border is flawless, with no wear or scratching as is usually found with this pin. The center of the pin displays moderate wear, which is common due to its convex design. In Excellent condition overall. The remaining World Series press pins in this collection, including phantoms, are as follows: 1941, 1946 (phantom), 1947 (threaded post removed and loop added at the top so that it can be hung from necklace), 1949 (Ex), 1951 (phantom), 1952, 1953 (brooch back), 1955 (Vg-Ex; linear indentation to the blue enamel cap on front), 1956, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1982 (phantom). The two All-Star Game press pins represented here are for the years 1949 and 1959. The remaining pins in the collection are comprised of a scarce circa 1920s stick pin (2.75 inches long; Ex-Mt), three circa 1950 stadium pins (two with ribbons and charms; both Nr-Mt, and the other Gd-Vg; all are 1.25-inch in diameter), a 1959 Stadium pin with World Series ribbon and charm (1.75-inch diameter; Ex-Mt), and a small team-mascot pin (one-inch long; Ex-Mt). Total: 27 pins. Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
