Collection of three cardboard advertising signs issued by the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. in promotion of its line of Louisville Slugger bats. Two of the signs date from 1928 and feature the endorsements, respectively, of Paul Waner and Harry Heilmann. The third appears to be from the same time period and heralds the company's new "Louisville Mascot No. 9 F. T." bat, which features a "Flame-Tempered" mark on the barrel to indicate the "Home Run Spot." All of the signs (8.5 x 11 inches), printed on cardboard stock, display moderate wear and are in Excellent condition overall with the exception of the Heilmann sign (Vg, with two tack holes along the top and a small tear near the base). Total: 3 signs. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
