Collection of six vintage baseball games mainly dating from the early 1900s. Unless otherwise noted, the games appear to be complete with all or most of the essential pieces. It must be emphasized that the grades are based primarily on the condition of the box. Most of the interior game components are in Excellent condition overall. The collection is comprised of the following:
1) Steele's Inside Base Ball, 1911. Produced by Steele Manufacturing. Game simply consists of a fold-over game board that displays playing field and instructions. Missing the dice and game pieces. 9 x 18 inches. Ex-Mt. 2) World Series Base Ball Game, 1916. Manufactured by the United Games Company. 9 x 14.25 x 1 inches. Vg, with tears to the flaps on lid. 3) Play Ball, circa 1918. Manufactured by the National Games Co. 14 x 17.25 x 1 inches. Ex. 4) Home Team Base Ball Game, circa 1918. Copyrighted by Ben Dickenson. This is the second version of this game, which was first produced in 1917. Missing the game pieces. 19 x 9 x 1 inches. Gd, with two missing lid flaps and a partially torn third flap. 5) Art Nunn's Game of Baseball, 1932. Manufactured by Art Nunn. Roulette wheel determines the action. 18.5 x 9.5 x 2 inches. Gd-Vg, with a detached lid flap and tear to another flap, as well as tape repair to the corners. 6) Circa 1930s fold-over game board. No manufacturer listed. One side features a dual baseball and football field game board. The other side features a checkers board. 8.25 x 16.5 inches. Ex. Total: 6 games. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+.
