1904 W601 Pittsburgh Pirates Sporting Life team composite featuring portrait images of nineteen team members, including manager Fred Clarke (pictured in the center), Honus Wagner, Deacon Phillippe, Tommy Leach, Ginger Beaumont, and Jimmy Sebring. These Sporting Life team composites (13 x 14 inches), printed on heavy enamel paper and issued by the Sporting Life newspaper, were available to fans either by individual purchase (for ten cents) or as a complete set in a bound volume. Because the offered example (10.5 x 11.5 inches) is matted and framed, and has not been examined out of frame, we are unable to determine by which method it was obtained (if it originates from a bound volume, it will have three binding holes along the left border). In apparent Excellent to Mint condition and closer to Near Mint in its overall appearance. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 17 x 18 inches.
