This amazing display piece features an uninterrupted run of Pete Rose Topps baseball cards, beginning with his highly coveted 1963 rookie card, and ending with a card dating from his final managerial season in 1989. Ideally, Rose has signed each card across the front in either blue or black Sharpie, with all of the signatures grading "9" or "10." A total of twenty-seven cards are offered here, as well as a signing-show ticket stub (featuring a photo of Rose on the front) from the September 5, 1993, Sports Collectors Convention (the ticket is not signed). The 1963 rookie card appears to have a partially erased printed notation along the top front border; otherwise it is in apparent Very Good to Excellent condition. The remaining cards range from Vg-Ex to Nr-Mt, averaging Ex. Framed to total dimensions of 21 x 40 inches. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
