Original photo of Boston Braves catcher Harry Smith, taken by noted Boston photographer Carl Horner, that was used in the production of Smith's 1910-1911 M116 Sporting Life card. The formal studio portrait captures Smith in uniform as he stares away from the camera. Horner's embossed credit stamp appears in the lower left corner. The photo (4 x 5.5 inches) exhibits editorial shading around the area of his head and shoulders, as well as minor editorial marks along his uniform. In apparent Excellent to Mint condition. Mounted and framed to total dimensions of 11.75 x 13 inches. Together with an original example of Smith's M116 Sporting Life card (Gd-Vg). Total: 2 items (photo and card). Reserve $300.
