Presented is a fascinating collection of eighteen different proof sheets from the 1982 Fleer baseball series, including a complete 660-card set on ten uncut, blank-back proof sheets, highlighted by the rookie card of Cal Ripken Jr. and the #576 John Littlefield "Pitching Lefty" error card. These sheets originate directly from the Fleer photographer, who was given the sheets to commemorate his work. He has stored them carefully for more than thirty years. In addition to the ten sheets comprising the complete set, all of which present as Near Mint and have just minor wear at the corners and along the edges (to be expected due to their large size), also included is a single proof sheet of sixty-six fully printed final issue card backs, four paper thin blue progressive proof sheets of card backs, and three paper thin proof sheets of Fleer Stickers (250 stickers in total). Each of these eight additional sheets presents as Excellent or better, with the paper thin sheets exhibiting slightly more spots of wear. Each of the eighteen sheets measures approximately 29 x 23 inches. This is a fascinating collection of uncut sheets which offer great insight into the production process and would be a significant addition to any Fleer, uncut-sheet, or card-production collection. Total: 18 uncut sheets. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
