Original unopened wax box of 1972 O-Pee-Chee second series baseball containing thirty-six unopened wax packs. This is a second series box featuring cards #264-394, highlighted by several Hall of Famers, including Hank Aaron and Roberto Clemente (both regular and In Action for both). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint cards. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display box has survived in outstanding condition with bright colors and minimal shelf wear visible. Evidence of vintage tape, which once held the box closed, is visible on the top panel. This is a stunning unopened wax box that would make a superb addition to any unopened wax-box collection. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+.
