Stunning high-grade collection of seventeen different 1910-1911 M116 Sporting Life cards, all pack-fresh, each graded NM-MT 8 or NM 7 by PSA (submitted by REA). All are crisp and clean, miraculously preserved, looking today exactly as they did when issued. The collection is comprised of the following: Eight NM-MT 8: Bradley, Dahlen, Gessler, McLean, Phillippe, Sheckard, F. Smith, and Sullivan. Nine NM 7: Bergen, Bridwell, Dougherty, Elberfeld, Hulswitt, Leever, Leifield, Maddox, and Overall. Many collectors consider M116 to represent one of the era's most exceptional values. In terms of the number of players featured, M116 is the second most substantial set of the 1910 era featuring Major Leaguers, trailing only T206. Despite being so similar in design to their T206 counterparts, M116s in general are actually far rarer. This is an outstanding collection for this issue, very carefully assembled in uncompromising high grade. The SMR value in the assigned grades is $3,350. Total: 17 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+.
