Graded NM+ 86 by SGC (submitted by REA). This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Magnificent high-grade example of Cleveland Naps Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young from the M116 Sporting Life set, one of the most popular of all 1910-era issues. M116s have always been highly appreciated by collectors for their distinctive style and rarity relative to the more commonly seen tobacco cards of the era. Like his portrait card in T206, this card is universally recognized as one of Young's most striking baseball cards. This is a stunning high-quality card! The flawless portrait image is perfectly centered, with four razor-sharp corners, perfect registration, and bright white borders. The reverse is centered slightly high, with the advertising for Sporting Life boldly printed in black. This is an exceptional high-grade example of one of Cy Young’s most striking cards that would be a worthy addition to any M116 Sporting Life, Cy Young, or classic Hall of Fame card collection. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+.
