In addition to issuing cards on the backs of Post Cereal boxes, in 1961 Post also made the same set of cards available by mail in perforated uncut sheets of ten with each sheet representing ten players from a given team. Presented is a gorgeous complete set of all sixteen 1961 Post team sets in their original uncut form. Naturally, these are rare to find still in complete sheet form as originally issued by mail. In addition to including all the big stars of the day such as Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Clemente, etc., there are special rarities in the 1961 Post set which are represented in this perforated sheet set. Some cards (such as #73 Estrada and 94 Stobbs) are key rarities of the 1961 Post set precisely because they were not issued on the backs of cereal boxes and were available only by mail in the perforated uncut sheet form. Many others have team and text variations that appear only on the perforated uncut sheet "company-issue" cards. We have not offered a complete set of these company cards in this perfect form in many years. Excellent condition overall. Total: 16 uncut sheets representing 160 cards (10 cards per sheet). Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
