33% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few higher), 57% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 10% lesser. This is a very attractive mixed-grade complete set of the classic 1957 Topps issue. Classic vintage sets in mixed grade are always popular, and looking at the cards combined with their modest cost compared to higher-grade sets, it's easy to see why. Highlighted by the rookie cards of Don Drysdale, Frank Robinson, and Brooks Robinson, the 1957 Topps includes many additional key star cards, among them Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle. We have submitted thirteen cards to be professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 T. Williams (VG 3 [MK]), 2 Berra (Gd), 7 Aparicio (Ex), 10 Mays (VG-EX 4), 15 Roberts (Ex), 18 Drysdale RC (VG-EX 4), 20 Aaron (VG-EX 4 [MC]), 24 Mazeroski (Gd), 25 Ford (Vg-Ex+), 30 Reese (Ex), 35 F. Robinson RC (VG-EX 4), 38 Fox (Vg-Ex+), 40 Wynn (Vg-Ex+), 55 Banks (Ex), 62 Martin (ink mark on back, otherwise Ex+), 70 Ashburn (Ex), 76 Clemente (VG 3), 80 Hodges (Vg-Ex), 90 Spahn (Gd), 95 Mantle (GOOD 2), 97 Yankees Team (Vg), 125 Kaline (Vg+), 165 Kluszewski (Vg-Ex), 170 Snider (Vg), 210 Campanella (EX+ 5.5), 212 Colavito RC (Vg+), 250 Mathews (Vg+), 272 Shantz (NM-MT 8), 286 Richardson RC (light pencil mark on front, otherwise Vg-Ex), 302 Koufax (Gd), 312 Kubek RC (Gd), 324 Dodgers Team (Vg), 328 B. Robinson RC (GOOD 2), 338 Bunning RC (VG-EX 4), 400 Dodgers' Sluggers (EX 5), and 407 Mantle/Berra (EX 5 [MK]). 1957 Topps have always been very popular due to their classic photographic style and inclusion of so many stars. Relatively affordable, attractive mixed-grade sets of classic issues from the 1950s such as this always generate tremendous collector interest. Total: 407 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
