Collection of 808 autographed Topps baseball cards spanning the years 1952 through 1959. This is a very substantial collection of signed Topps cards dating from the golden age of bubble-gum cards, including the 1954 rookie cards for both Al Kaline and Ernie Banks. No duplicate cards are included here; however, for a few of the sets, some of the signers are represented more than once (for example, in the 1959 set Duke Snider has signed a number of cards on which he appears). A total of twenty-seven Hall of Famer signatures are featured in the collection, representing sixteen different players. All signatures, penned in a variety of inks, appear on the front. Grades range from "2" to "10," averaging "7/8." In our inventory breakdown, we have noted the eight different partial sets offered here, the number of signed cards per set (in parentheses), and all of the Hall of Famer cards in the respective set. 1952 Topps (8): #88 Feller. 1953 Topps (72): #41 Slaughter and 54 Feller. 1954 Topps (126): #3 Irvin, 36 Wilhelm, 94 Banks, and 201 Kaline. 1955 Topps (75): #19 Herman and 100 Irvin. 1956 Topps (120): #109 Slaughter, 180 Roberts, and 255 Lemon. 1957 Topps (94): #120 Lemon, 170 Snider, 203 Wilhelm, 215 Slaughter, and 230 Kell. 1958 Topps (143): #2 Lemon, 88 Snider, 307 B. Robinson, 314 ("Dodgers' Boss & Power"; signed by Snider), 436 ("Rival Fence Busters; signed by Snider), and 494 Spahn. 1959 Topps (170): #149 Bunning, 292 D. Williams, 349 Wilhelm, and 470 Musial. Cards range in grade from Pr to Ex, averaging Vg. Total: 808 signed cards. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500++. SOLD FOR $5,036
