Official American League (Barnard) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following twenty-two members of the 1930 Washington Senators: Johnson (Mgr., "6"), Manush, Cronin, Rice, Myer, Harris, West, Altrock (coach), Spencer, Brown, Loepp, Marberry, Burke, Hayes, Ruel, Shires (sweet spot), Crowder (sweet spot), Judge, Thomas, Schacht (coach), Gharrity, and one other (an abrasion has obscured the name). The notation "To Gonc./Purnell" is written in black fountain pen across the ball label. Signatures range from "3" to "6," averaging "4/5." The ball is moderately toned and displays a number of abrasions that significantly affect a few of the signatures (not Walter Johnson). In Good to Very Good condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $948
