Offered is a fine mid-grade Babe Ruth single-signed baseball (no visible manufacturer's stampings, but very likely a Harridge ball) that is personalized "To Earl Meusserr From Babe Ruth" in blue fountain pen on a side panel. Ruth was very appreciative of his legions of fans and always a very accommodating signer. Whenever possible, when he was presented with a ball to be signed for a specific fan, Ruth would personalize and sign the ball on a side panel in this special manner. The ball is moderately toned and lightly scuffed. Both the inscription and signature grade "5." There is a very slight abrasion touching upon the "B" in "Babe" which does not significantly detract from the ball's overall display value. The ball is in Very Good to Excellent condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $2,133
