60% Ex to Ex-Mt (includes a few slightly better), 40% ranging from Vg to Vg-Ex/Ex (includes a few slightly lesser). This is a very attractive medium- to high-grade complete set (including #66 Williams) of one of the most overlooked (and compared to many other sets, most reasonably valued) classic bubble-gum card issues from the golden age of the 1950s. The #66 Ted Williams is the key card to the 1954 Bowman set and one of the legendary key cards among all postwar gum cards. The #66 Piersall is also included. Twelve cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 Rizzuto (VG-EX 4 mk), 6 Fox (Vg-Ex), 15 Ashburn (Ex), 45 Kiner (NM-MT 8 oc), 50 Kell (Ex), 58 Reese (EX-MT 6), 62 Slaughter (Ex), 64 Mathews (Vg-Ex), 65 Mantle (GOOD 2), 66a Williams (GOOD 2), 66b Piersall (Gd), 89 Mays (VG 3), 90 Campanella (EX 5), 97 McDougald (NM-MT 8), 110 Schoendienst (Ex-Mt), 132 Feller (EX-MT 6), 138 Hodges (Vg), 145 Martin (Vg), 161 Berra (EX 5), 164 Wynn (Vg), 170 Snider (EX-MT 6), 177 Ford (EX 5), and 196 Lemon (Vg-Ex/Ex). Total: 225 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,015
