Graded NM 84 by SGC. Stunning high-grade example of one of collecting's most classic cards, the 1952 Bowman #101 Mickey Mantle. Extremely attractive card with four sharp corners, vibrant colors, flawless registration, and almost perfect centering (just a hint to the right, approximately 52/48). The reverse also has virtually perfect centering, as well as extremely bold print. A small gum/wax stain on the lower right of the reverse, a very common trait of early 1950s bubble-gum cards issued in wax packs, is responsible for this near-flawless gem not receiving a grade of NM-MT. We can't think of a reason we'd rather have a NM-MT bubble-gum card "downgraded" to "only" Near Mint! This is a magnificent high-grade example of one of Mickey Mantle's most important cards, and one of the most recognizable cards in all of card collecting. The equivalent SMR value is $1,850. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,666
