Graded EX 5 by PSA. Bright and clean example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. This is a beautiful card with brilliant colors and perfect registration. Centered slightly towards the bottom right. The corners show slight, even wear. There is evidence of very faint surface wrinkles next to Gehrig's right leg (when held in extreme light at just the right angle). The reverse of the card is also extremely clean, with bold green text. This is an impressive card with a much stronger eye-appeal than suggested by the assigned grade, sharing almost all of the qualities of a higher-graded example. The SMR value in the assigned grade is $1,800. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500.
