Graded NM+ 86 by SGC. One of only three examples graded at this level by SGC. Spectacular high-grade factory-set-fresh example of what many consider the most classic of all Ty Cobb cards. The 1915 Cracker Jack is understandably one of Ty Cobb’s most striking and popular cards. 1915 Cracker Jacks will always be one of the most desirable prewar sets ever issued. The "Georgia Peach" is one of the big three key cards in the set, along with Jackson and Wagner. The offered card has outstanding color, perfect registration, and virtually flawless square corners (showing just the slightest hint of wear under extremely powerful magnification). The card is centered slightly to the top. (The image has a natural slight tilt as made and gives the appearance of being off center, left to right, but that is not the case.) The reverse is perfectly clean with bold black text. This card was obviously once from an original "factory set" obtained by mail directly from the company. If not for the centering, we believe this card would grade a solid NM/MT 88. This is a stunning and exceptionally high-grade example of one of prewar-card collecting's most popular classics. The SMR value for a PSA NM 7 is $10,500, which seems very conservative. Reserve $5,000. Estimate (open).
