Graded POOR 10 by SGC. Extremely rare sample card (2-1/8 x 4 inches) from this unusual Pacific Coast League issue. "Big Eaters" feature full-length poses of members of the Sacramento Solons. Beneath the identification of each player and his team is the endorsement "He Eats 'Big Eater'." It is believed that "Big Eater" was a brand of candy. This card is new to the modern collecting world. It is one of the highlights from a recently discovered 1910-era original-owner card collection. The card has several creases and a few light stains on the reverse, but despite its low grade is still a very pleasing sample card from one of the rarest of all PCL issues. Reserve $200. Estimate $300+. SOLD FOR $948
