1911 T5 Pinkerton cabinet card of Hall of Famer Ed Walsh from this classic issue, which is widely regarded as one of the rarest and most distinctive tobacco-card premium sets produced in the 1910 era. T5 Pinkerton cabinet cards were available only by mail direct from the company in exchange for coupons. Walsh is featured in a throwing pose with an intense look on his face. Bright, fresh, and impeccably clean, with only a couple very light creases and a tiny black spot on the reverse. We have no idea why SGC did not put a numerical grade on this card; it appears to us to be in strong Excellent condition. This is an extremely attractive and very rarely offered example of Ed Walsh from one of the rarest and most classic of all tobacco-premium issues. Encapsulated as “Authentic” by SGC. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $1,896
