Graded EX+ 70 by SGC. Highest-graded example by SGC (only one example is graded higher, PSA NM 7). This is an ideal high-grade sample card of Babe Adams from the 25-card 1910 D322 Tip Top Bread set issued by the Ward-Mackey Company. This very scarce set was regionally issued in the Pittsburgh area, and features only members of the Pirates, the National League champions of the previous year. The reverse has advertising for Tip Top Bread, and provides a complete checklist for the set. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with four square corners, a perfect image set against a bold green background, no creases, and centered just a hint to the left. The reverse is perfectly clean. This is an extraordinarily crisp, clean card, and for this issue a particularly high-grade sample card of this scarce prewar food issue. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
