Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. One of only four examples graded at this level by PSA, with just three graded higher. Exceptional high-grade example of infamous "Black Sox" pitcher Ed Cicotte in a portrait pose from the highly desirable E95 Philadelphia Caramel series. Bright and clean, both front and back, with flawless registration, a hint of even wear to the corners, and very well centered. The checklist on the back is printed in bold black ink. It is also interesting to note that the card features a distinctly lighter background (appearing almost orange in color), as opposed to the familiar deep red background that is normally seen with this E95 card of Cicotte. The designs used on E95 are particularly noted for their beauty and are unique to the set. This is an exceptionally high grade E95 example and one of Ed Cicotte's most stunning cards. The SMR value is $1,350. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $1,067
