Graded EX 5 by PSA. Extremely attractive high-grade example of one of collecting's most classic cards. The T206 Walter Johnson portrait is one of the most famous of all vintage baseball cards. This card is widely recognized to be among Walter Johnson's most striking cards. In fact, the majestic portrait of Johnson on this card is considered by many advanced collectors to be the single best image of Walter Johnson to appear on any baseball card. This is a very striking card with bold colors, and a bright yellow background. The corners have light even wear. Centered 35/65 left to right. The Piedmont advertising on the back is boldly printed and centered to the far right. This is a beautiful classic card in an extremely desirable grade, and would be a worthy addition to any T206, Walter Johnson, or classic Hall of Fame card collection. SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,950. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200+.
