Collection of five newly discovered 1898 Cameo Pepsin Gum pins. Cameo Pepsin Gum pins are one of the rarest and most significant of all baseball pin backs. These pins were just recently discovered by a family of non collectors who found them while going through their grandmother's possessions (nine Cameo Pepsin gum pins were found at the time, all of which are offered on the internet-only portion of this auction). The five pins offered here are: Dahlen, S.S. (Chicago; Ex), McAleer, C.F. (Cleveland; light contrast; Ex), Merritt (Pittsburg; Ex), Peitz, C. (Cincinnati; Vg), and Tucker (Boston; Vg). All of the original paper backs remain completely intact. Manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag. Total: 5 pins. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500++. SOLD FOR $1,422
