Two of the most desirable toy cars from the mid 1960s, produced by Corgi, each housed in its original box and complete with all of its accessories. These are extraordinary examples of these 1960s classics! 1) The Green Hornet’s “Black Beauty” #268.
The car is in remarkable Gem Mint condition and comes complete with its original envelope (still sealed) containing the instruction sheet and plastic missiles. The box (5.75 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches) displays a small amount of very light adhesive spotting on one of the side panels (displaying an illustration of the car) and one of the end flaps (the spotting affects approximately twenty percent of the area for each); otherwise in Mint condition. Aside from the spotting on the box, this is probably as fine an example as one could ever hope to find. 2) The “Batmobile” #267.
The car is in Gem Mint condition with one exception: the tiny rear antenna has been neatly shorn from its base. The antenna, which can possibly be repaired, is included here and is housed in the opened envelope containing the instruction sheet and plastic rockets (never used, still attached to their plastic runners). The box (6 x 2.5 x 2 inches) displays only very modest handling wear and is in Near Mint condition. Total: 2 cars, each in its original box and complete with all of its accessories. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800+. SOLD FOR $1,896
