Collection of nine different 1910-era tobacco and candy cards, representing six different highly regarded issues, highlighted by six Hall of Famers, including two Ty Cobbs, Honus Wagner, and Cy Young, and a rare E125 American Caramel Die-cut sample card. Carefully assembled group of classic vintage cards from the collection of an extremely dedicated longtime advanced card collector, who chose each card with great care based on many factors, including pose, appearance, and rarity. 1) 1909-1911 T206 White Border: Ty Cobb (Green background with an Old Mill back. The card was sent to SGC and was rejected for being "Altered." We believe that SGC is correct in its assessment, but it's still a nice-looking and authentic card; it may have been pressed and trimmed). 2) 1911 T205 Gold Border: Addie Joss (Vg+). 3) 1909-1911 E254 Colgan's Chips (3 cards): Ty Cobb (Vg-Ex/Ex), Honus Wager (Vg), and Cy Young (Fr-Gd). 4) 1910 E125 American Caramel Die-cut: Dots Miller (Ex appearance, but technically Vg due to a crease on his cap and a second crease in the lower left on the reverse). 5) 1911 "Baseball Bats": Nap Lajoie (Ex). 6) 1910 "Orange Borders" (2 cards): American League Champions 1909 Detroit (Vg-Ex) and National League Champions 1909 Pirates with Honus Wagner (Vg appearance, but technically Pr due to a glue stain on reverse). Fascinating small collection of classic vintage cards from the 1910 era, including six Hall of Famers. Total: 9 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,444
