Graded EX 5 by PSA. Only "1 of 1" graded by PSA with no other examples at any level graded by PSA. This 1906 Philadelphia Athletics team composite postcard, issued by Sporting Life , features the same image used in the company's popular large format team composite of the time. Manager Connie Mack is pictured in the center surrounded by 18 other team members including his three future Hall of Fame hurlers Eddie Plank, Rube Waddell, and Chief Bender as well as team president Ben Shibe, and Harry Davis, who led the American League in home runs that season with 12. The reverse of the postcard is unused. A very attractive high-grade example of one of the most important teams in the set. Dimensions: 3-5/8 x 5-7/16 inches. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
