Highly desirable 1992 Toronto Blue Jays World Series ring commemorating not only the club's first World Championship, but the first World Series played on Canadian soil. The 14K gold ring, manufactured by Tiffany, features the club's "Blue Jay" logo on the front with a red maple leaf incorporated into the design. A large diamond represents the bird's eye. Sixteen smaller diamonds surround the logo. "1992 World Champions" is lettered in relief along the bevel. One shank features the 1992 major league World Series logo resting within a maple-leaf display. "Toronto Blue Jays" is lettered above the logo, and "Canada's 1st" below. The other shank features the American League logo. The name of the recipient, "Torres," is lettered above, while the number "4,028,318" (the club's league-leading attendance figure) appears below. "Tiffany & Co./14k 685" is engraved on the interior band. This ring was issued to former Blue Jays player Hector Torres, who was a minor-league coach for the club in 1992. Torres played for Toronto during the club's 1977 inaugural season before retiring at season's end. Afterwards, he enjoyed a long minor-league career with the Blue Jays as both coach and manager at various levels. This is the first 1992 Toronto Blue Jays World Series ring we have ever offered, which is notable for its elegant design, historical significance, and the fact that it was issued to a significant and longtime member of the Blue Jays coaching family. In Near Mint condition. Size: approximately 9.5. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000. SOLD FOR $8,888
