Graded VG 40 by SGC. 1887 N173 Goodwin Old Judge cabinet card of Hall of Famer Roger Connor of the New York Giants (hands on knees pose). This is one of the most impressive of all Roger Connor cards. All Old Judge cabinets are extremely desirable, and examples of Hall of Famers are naturally especially highly prized. The image on this card is very bold with strong contrast. Very clean, both front and back. This is a particularly strong example that has a much stronger appearance than its SGC grade suggests. The card has a little light surface wear on the blank reverse and a tiny bump in the lower border of the mount; it is otherwise in Excellent condition. This is an outstanding card and an exceptional Hall of Famer example from one of the nineteenth century's most revered sets. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+.
