Graded NM 7 by PSA. Highest-graded example! One of only two graded at this level by PSA, with none graded higher. Offered is an extraordinarily crisp, fresh-looking, unopened 1955 Topps one-cent wax pack ("undated" variation). Penny packs each contained one card and one piece of gum. Topps distributed these one-cent packs from 1952 to 1965. All unopened packs from the early 1950s are rare, but penny packs were produced in lesser quantities than nickel packs from this same era. This bright multicolored pack is tightly wrapped, and appears exactly as it did the day it was picked up from the candy-store shelf in 1955 and purchased for a penny. It is a miracle that any packs of cards from more than half a century ago still exist in their original unopened state. They are, of course, very rare, and this is one of the few survivors from the glory days of baseball cards of the early 1950s. Submitted for grading and encapsulation by REA, this pack was has been stored away in an old-time collection for decades. This is an exceptional ultra high-grade unopened pack of 1955 Topps, one of the most popular of all early Topps issues. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
