40% Nr/Mt or better, 60% range from Ex to Ex-Mt (includes a few slightly lesser). This is an extraordinarily high grade 1963 Topps set. The key card in the set, the #537 Pete Rose rookie card, is graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Highlighted by the rookie cards of Rose and Willie Stargell, the 1963 Topps also includes many additional key star cards in the difficult high-number series, including Roberto Clemente and Duke Snider. We have selected seven cards from this set to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #18 Buc Blasters (Ex-Mt), 25 Kaline (Ex), 115 Yastrzemski (Ex), 120 Maris (Ex), 138 Mays/Musial (Ex), 173 Bombers' Best with Mantle (PSA EX-MT 6), 200 Mantle (PSA EX-MT 6), 210 Koufax (PSA EX-MT 6), 242 Banks/Aaron (ink spot on the bottom edge, otherwise Ex), 250 Musial (Ex), 300 Mays (PSA NM 7), 320 Spahn (Ex-Mt), 340 Berra (trimmed), 345 B. Robinson (trimmed), 360 Drysdale (Ex), 380 Banks (Vg), 390 Aaron (Ex-Mt), 400 F. Robinson (Ex-Mt), 415 Gibson (Ex-Mt), 446 Ford (Ex-Mt), 472 Brock (Nr/Mt), 490 McCovey (PSA EX-MT 6), 500 Killebrew SP (Ex), 537 Rose RC (PSA EX-MT 6), 540 Clemente (Vg-Ex), 550 Snider (25/75 L/R, otherwise Ex), and 553 Stargell RC (PSA NM 7). The flush-to-the-border design of this issue renders the cards very susceptible to corner and edge wear, making it all the rarer to find such a crisp, clean, sharp-looking complete set. Total 576 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000 . SOLD FOR $5,288
