Graded MINT 96 by SGC. One of only three examples graded at this level by SGC, with none graded higher. Ultra high-grade pack-fresh gem example of Dodgers' legend Gil Hodges. Four razor-sharp corners, crystal-clear image, and perfect centering. Flawless reverse with bold printing. Hodges went on to win three Gold Glove awards and was named to eight All-Star teams, but when this card was issued, he was at the beginning of his spectacular career, which included seven World Series appearances and lasted well into the mid-1960s. This is an extraordinary high-grade example worthy of the finest 1953 Bowman Color set. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+.
